A little about me and Kids Yoga Zone…

Shall I state the obvious? Yes, I love yoga! I’m a mom of 2 who has been practicing since the early 1990s – yup a long time! The mental and physical benefits of yoga were so apparent to me, that I began to explore a variety of types, including Hatha, Iyengar and Ashtanga; all of which brought me different benefits. In the early 2000s, I started teaching in private schools, and realized that I’d found my second love – teaching kids! My 2 passions finally collided in 2010 when I began teaching yoga for kids in public schools.

People always ask “How do you teach kids yoga?” The answer is simple, you don’t teach them, you work with them. This simple answer has led me to teach hundreds of trainings and kids yoga classes!  I teach privates all the way up to groups of 50 plus! And the ages vary equally from preschool to high school!

Helping kids find peace and calm shouldn’t be a mystery, it should be fun! My goal is to create a space for kids where they can not only be mindful and present, but where they can learn to balance silliness with calm and movement with stillness.
